Summer Maze is a sliding-tile, logic-puzzle game that features a summertime beach and seaside theme. Within carved-out sections of sand across levels, the player applies color to mazes of black square tiles using theme-matched paint tools. The player unlocks new levels every time they successfully paint an entire maze. The player starts with a beach ball paint tool that displays the paint color on the tile under the ball. They must drag or swipe the tool through the carved maze channels from wall to wall to leave behind a line of paint. Unlike some games, the player can paint over previously painted areas, which makes completing the task of painting a maze incredibly easy. That said, the difficulty increases with new levels because the mazes become more complex in terms of overall shape and the number or size of the tiles and channels. Summer Maze rewards the player with purple diamonds and falling rainbow confetti. After the player saves up at least 100 gemstones, they can use the purple button marked with a shopping cart in the upper-right area to prompt the game to randomly unlock a new style of paint tool icon.
